Andre kommentarer om hotellet: The resort was farther away from Khao Lak than we expected, and overpriced considering this. Haadson Resort was nice however, and the surrounding garden and lake was really nice and well kept. Endless and beautiful beach as in Khao Lak. Very few people seemed to eat lunch and dinner in the restaurant. We went into Khao Lak as we like to see some people in the evenings, but 800 baht to go back and forth is quite expensive if you do it every day, although it really is a bit of way. I think most other hotel guests used the neighbouring small restaurants instead. We recommend Haadson Resort for those who look for a nice and very quiet place close to the beach.

Andre kommentarer om hotellet: The Koh Yao Yai Village resort was more of a djungle experience than we had expected. Along with the fact that the (nice) beach was not for swimming it was a disappointment to us. Upon our departure we saw a note in the reception that there was a daily shuttle service to another beach (for swimming we assume?) but we didn t get any other information about this, neither at the introduction we got upon arrival, nor in the resort information in the bungalow. Since we didn t have any reason to visit the reception during our stay, we felt this option should have been better announced. The resort seemed popular among families with young children but you need to know that there is nothing nearby such as another restaurant, only the one in the resort with the same (not very extensive, but quite expensive) menu for lunch and dinner. Andre kommentarer om hotellet: Haadson Resort near Ko Lak is – simply stated – a charming and wonderful place. If you are looking for peace in your life, a great white sand but quiet beach, clean and charming bungalows, great thai food, sunning yourself beside a clear fresh water pool, a fantastic massage at the on-site spa and attention from a delightful, caring staff, then this is the place for you. Yes, it is a bit more than an hour drive north of the Phuket airport but worth every minute of that drive. But if you are looking for discos, crowded beaches, heavy noisy traffic, shopping malls and zillions of restaraunts then don’t go to the Haadson Resort.

Andre kommentarer om hotellet: A very special place which was the highlight of our holiday. Unspoilt beaches, a lush tropical location, friendly, relaxed and great value. If you want to escape everything for a few days and see what Khao Lak would have been like ten years ago this is the place.

Perfect for a relaxing/romantic holiday!The hotel is very nice, good standard with comfortable well-designed villas in a wonderful garden/jungle setting. Can recommend the villa with an outdoor shower! TV channels were very few and boring (if you are jetlagged and cannot sleep at night there is nothing to watch).The hotel restaurant closes at ca 22.30 and the local restaurants in the surrounding are also closed at night. So do not expect much to do in the evening!Daytime you can book a snorkling trip and hotel provides a bike and a free daily charter to Kao Lak.The hotel staff is really friendly, despite communication problems at times, they are really helpful and genuinely nice.Breakfast and food overall is good.Try the hotel spa, situated in a beautiful calm outdoor setting.I can really recommend Haadson!

Set by a beautiful beach mainly used by locals, it s a good opportunity to mix with real Thais in their own surroundings. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. No complaints. The Haadson is small, quiet, and ideal for people wanting to get away, relax and enjoy the quieter side of beach life in the Khao Lak area. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the accommodation was comfortable and the food excellent. There is a nice pool, but the beach is meters away with a quite stretch of coast to enjoy. I would highly recommend the Haadson to anybody looking for a slightly less commercial getaway away of the larger cities. My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and were looked after very well. Andre kommentarer om hotellet: We loved this resort and would stay there again. We stayed in the Coconut Rooms since villas weren t available and they were great. Staff was excellent although English is limited with wait staff. Pool area is great and included breakfast was very good. Other meals were reasonable too.

Andre kommentarer om hotellet: We thoughroully enjoyed our time here, although it was the end of the high season we managed to have the resort to ourselves ( well 6 persons at any one time there) :-) The only feedback I can offer is that the command of English needs to be improved in the restaurant & front desk. Apart from that we were very satisfied with our stay and would strongly recommend this resort for a quiet & relaxing vacation.1.5hrs from Phuket Intl15 mins to Khao Lak center400 THB taxi to/from resort to Khao Lak

You can have Bangsak beach all for yourself, there are no other hotels nearby, only some locals visiting the beach during the weekends (which is nice!). Unfortunately the beach is not for snorkeling, but most of the other beaches have the same problem. The resort if very quiet and made for relaxing. Don t expect night life, the only thing you can do in the evenings is to choose the hotel restaurant (ok) or one of the local restaurants just outside the hotel, at the front of the beach (I do recommend, so tasty, so cheap). During the day there is a free shuttle to the centre of Khao Lak, where you can go and check the other turists (if you want) and do some quick shopping. Otherwise I do recommend renting a car, the traffic around Khao Lak area is not too bad, just go there and drive, you ll be ok!The resort rooms are very basic with nice contemporary style, hint of thai decoration. Airconditioning was very loud, but well, you need it, you get used to it. Our baby got a small flu from the aircon, but otherwise the place was very baby-friendly, we got a nice bed for her and mosquito-net when asked. And the hotel staff were very nice for us and the baby, all the time.So, the place is good for couples and families, but I would not go there alone or with girl-friends (no party!)!Breakfast was ok, served in a beatiful seaside terrace. The most beautiful thing for me was after all the GARDEN, it was very well kept and so nice. I do recommend this hotel for everybody who wants a quiet holiday, not big tourist crouds, peaceful nature and beautiful beach - with a small touch of local life. We were after a relaxing holiday away from everything and got what we wanted and more. Not for those looking for a party place but beautifully serene with lovely staff. We will be back!

Andre kommentarer om hotellet: If you want a lively hotel in the centre of the action the Haadson is not for you .However if you are looking for a quiet location, bungalow type accommodation, beautiful well kept and designed gardens and the most fantastic deserted beach I would recommend the Haadson.The staff were so friendly and helpful and put a lot of effort into the New Years Eve party (the staff singing Thai songs and dancing was great fun).The restaurant was not very good but then we never eat much in hotel restaurants.There were fantastic local seafood restaurants ,used by the Thais ,where we ate most lunches and evenings watching the sunsets.

Andre kommentarer om hotellet: I do not recommend Haadsons. Website is misleading. It s 90 mins from Phuket airport (not 60mins), and 25mins to Khao Lak centre (not 15mins). If you plan to do tours from here its expensive and a very early start. Food is very bland. We attempted dinner twice and then gave up. Service is also poor, and the staff speak very little english. We also did not get an important message from our accommodation in phuket, indicating that they needed to cancel room. We turned up and wasted half a day reorganising accommodtion. unfortunately we had to spend new years eve there too. Buffet was horrible, and entertainment consisted mainly of karaoke by the staff! Releasing the lanterns on the beach after the fireworks was nice, but its a shame the mess remained all over the beach the next morning. [ThailandHoteller.com integr.ERR:escaping]
